• Sodium Carboxymethyl-Cellulose (CMC): 0.5% w/v (or as per formulation)

• Sterile aqueous vehicle q.s.

• Relief of dry eye syndrome and eye irritation

• Protection of the cornea in conditions of reduced tear production

• Temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to exposure to wind, sun, or air conditioning

• Supportive treatment in minor eye injuries or after ophthalmic surgery

• Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed, typically 3-6 times daily

• Shake well before use if the formulation is suspension-based

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface to prevent contamination

• Consult an eye specialist if symptoms persist or worsen

Each mL typically contains:

• Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride equivalent to Moxifloxacin – 0.5% w/v

• Prednisolone Acetate – 1% w/v

• Moxifloxacin – Fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic

• Prednisolone – Corticosteroid (anti-inflammatory agent)

• Inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication.

• Effective against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

• Suppresses inflammation by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokines, prostaglandins, and leukotrienes.

• Reduces redness, swelling, and discomfort in the eye.

• Post-operative ocular inflammation and prevention of infection (e.g., cataract surgery)

• Bacterial conjunctivitis with significant inflammation

• Inflammatory ocular conditions (e.g., uveitis, keratitis) where bacterial infection is present or suspected

It is effective against a wide spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Ofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution IP is a sterile antibacterial eye drop containing Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It is used topically in the eye to treat bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination.

• Ofloxacin IP: 0.3% w/v

• Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis

• Management of corneal ulcers caused by susceptible bacteria

• Other superficial bacterial infections of the eye

• Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 2–4 hours for the first 2 days, then reduce frequency as advised by the physician

• Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface to avoid contamination

• Continue treatment for the full prescribed duration even if symptoms improve
